Nazarene Publishing House Just a quick idea for you if you are looking for effective long term discipleship options for your church or small group. I got connected with a group last year called Victorious Christian Living International. These folks are so awesome and produce materials called SALT. SALT stands for Seven Areas of Life Training. This material covers God’s Word in the life areas of physical, spiritual, social, financial, psychological, parental, and marital health. Each area is a four week study and you can do this live with a group facilitator or you can purchase the DVD lessons that go with individual student workbooks. Each lesson is really solid with scripture support and solid reasonable life lessons. NPH sells these resources because, quite honestly, there are no doctrinal hang ups, it is very well done, and very comprehensive. It is the most applicable discipleship material I have every worked with or have used in my life for my own personal discipleship. The LEO Center The LEO Center provides biblical counseling and discipleship services through a curriculum called SALT: "Seven Areas of Life Training." These educational and counseling services are designed to provide the people and churches in Lawrence and its surrounding communities with a unique instructional vehicle for biblically based counseling services. Spiritual, Psychological, Social, Financial, Physical, Marital and Parental areas are each addressed. The biblical principles taught in the SALT courses allow participants to live more productive, loving, and meaningful lives by identifying and removing barriers to making a relationship with God the centerpiece of their everyday lives. The LEO Center offers this transformational program in several different formats: individually and in groups, through weekly meetings and workshops.
